是的“棉衣”不是 cotton clothes！
汉语说“棉衣”，通常是指内填棉花的保暖衣，说成英语是wadded clothes，不是cotton clothes，后者的意思是“布衣”，即棉布做的衣服。比较：
The girl wore a pretty cotton dress. 那女孩穿着一条漂亮的布裙。
It was very cold, so we had to wear wadded clothes. 天气很冷，所以我们只好穿棉衣。
