3 不定式的进行式to be doing和现在分词doing作定语和宾补时的区别
现在分词一般式doing和不定式to be doing都表示主动和与谓语动词同时发生，作状语由于意义不同可以区分，那么在作定语与宾补时两者有什么区别。
比如作定语时，The man speaking to him is my father.可不可以换成The man to be speaking to him is my father.
作宾补时，He kept the car waiting at the gate.可不可以换成He kept the car to be waiting at the gate.
两者的区别在哪？

非谓语动词作定语或宾补，表示在谓语时间正在发生的动作，只能用现在分词，不能用to be doing. 所以不存在你所说的二者的区别问题。用不定式进行体是错误的。
汉译英：正在和他说话的那个男人是我父亲。
The man speaking to him is my father.（正确）
The man to be speaking to him is my father. （错误）
汉译英：他让车一直等在大门口。
He kept the car waiting at the gate.（正确）
He kept the car to be waiting at the gate. （错误）。

不定式的进行式to be doing用法
一、表示同时
表示与谓语动作同时发生且正在进行的动作。如：
He seems to be saying something. 他似乎在度说什么。
He is thought to be hiding in the woods. 人们认为他躲在林子里。
It’s nice to be sitting here with you. 和你一起知坐在这儿真好。
Why’s she so late?—She can’t still be working. 她怎么这么晚还不来?——她不可能还在工作吧。
二、表示将来
正如可用进行时态表示将来意义一样，不定式的进行式回有时也可表示将来。如：
He was happy to be coming home. 就要回家了他答感到高兴。
The old man seems to be dying. 这老人似乎要死了。
