▲whateve后接名词时，这个名词通常用单数形式（单数可数名词或不可数名词）。如：

Whatever project he works on is always successful. 他从事的每个项目都是成功的。

Whatever advice that you can give me would be greatly appreciated. 你给我什么建议我都会感激不尽。

The ministry said it reserved the right to take whatever action necessary. 该部表示保留采取任何必要行动的权利。

但事实上，有时也可接复数名词。如：

▲用作主语时，谓语动词通常用单数：

Whatever happens don’t forget to write. 无论怎样别忘了写信。

I’ll stand by you whatever happens. 不管发生什么事，我都支持你。
