1. in comparison with/to：与...比较

比较—— 有差异，但不一定相对或者相反。

My room is small in comparison with yours. 

与你的房间相比，我的就小了。

2. in contrast with/to：与...对比

对比—— 有差异，而且一定是相对甚至相反。

In contrast to his brother, he was always considerate in his treatment of others. 

与他的兄弟相反，他在处理和别人的关系时总是很周到。
