抽象名词如ability何时用复数何时用单数，有规律总结吗

ability 并非抽象名词，它几乎都是用作可数名词，“能力” 可以是一种或多种。one ability，many abilities。

此外，类似这样的问题，建议网友尽量少提或不提，太笼统。就像“请老师总结一下冠词的各种用法” 一样。

在 the/your,etc ability to do sth.这个搭配中， ability 只用单数。例如：

The system has the ability to run more than one program at the same time.

该系统能够同时运行一个以上的程序。

Everyone has the right to good medical care regardless of their ability to pay. 无论支付能力任何，每个人都有权得到良好的医疗保健。

A gentle form of exercise will increase your ability to relax.
