▲动名词的否定式也可以用作宾语。如：

I couldn’t bear not seeing him again. 我不能忍受再也见不到他。

I immediately regretted not asking for his name and address. 我很快就后悔没记下他的姓名和住址。

Imagine not knowing the answer to such an easy question! 真想不到竟会不知道如何回答这样一个简单的问题! 

▲另外，介词后面也可接动名词的否定式作宾语。如：

He got into trouble for not doing his homework. 他没做作业，因此惹上麻烦了。

He accused the team of not pulling their weight. 他指责这个团队没有尽到本分。

She struggled to maintain the charade of not being afraid. 她竭力装出不害怕的样子。

I was enjoying the freedom of not having to go to work. 我在享受不用去上班的自由。

He’s run out of excuses for not tidying his room. 他再也找不到不整理房间的理由了。

His teacher reproached him for not doing his homework. 老师责备他不做家庭作业。

He expressed his frustration at not being able to talk openly. 他表达了对不能公开讲话的失望。

She has regrets about not being nice to her friend when she was ill. 她因没有善待生病的朋友而感到懊悔。
