lead sb to do / doing 的用法

Her belief that you wanted to be fired led you to wanting to be fired.

Her belief that you wanted to be fired led you to want to be fired.

lead sb to do = make sb do

The evidence leads me to believe [= make me believe] that this disease is curable.

不能说lead sb doing,但是可以说 lead to sth./doing sth.

His volunteer work in the hospital led to a career in nursing.

= His volunteer work in the hospital led to him becoming a nurse.

     典》p.1185)
