He is more a worker than a teacher.

She is more diligent than wise.

He is more a worker than a teacher.

这句话,more 由 much 变来。 如果后面接了of ,much 或 more 就是“代词”。

He is more a worker than a teacher.

He is more of a worker than a teacher.

He is more like a worker than a teacher.

1. The book seems to be more a dictionary than one on grammar.

2. It wasn't actually a holiday , more a working break, if you like.

3. Current thinking holds that obesity is more a medical than a psychological problem.

4. He is more a sprinter than a swimmer.

5. If Margaret Thatcher wins, she will be more a Leader than a Prime Minister.

6. The arrangement was more a formality than a genuine partnership of two nations

7. The exhibition at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts is more a production than it is a museum display

1. You are more stubborn than I thought.

2. You are more of a stubborn English learner than a hard-working one.

3. You are much of a stubborn English learner.

be more of sth than sth 中的 of 可有可无。例如:

be more of sth than sth to be one thing rather than another 与其说 ...,还不如说 ...:It was more of a holiday than a training exercise.

    She's more of a poet than a novelist.

be more sth than sth to be one thing rather than another 与其说 ...,还不如说 ...:It was more a worry than a pleasure.

If you say that something is more one thing than another, you mean that it is like the first thing rather than the second. The exhibition at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts is more a production than it is a museum display.
