I went to check that I’d locked the door. 本意是：我去查看并落实一下门确实是锁好了。结果在汉语中就翻译成了：我去查看一下门是否锁好了。

▲其实check后面接if和whether引导的宾语从句也是可以的，只是比较少见，如以下两句均摘自词典：
