前两个指“任意的半个苹果”；后两个指“那个苹果的一半”。存在泛指和特指的区别。

结构也不一样，例3）的中心词是 apple，half 是前置限定词做它的定语，例4）的中心词是代词half，of the apple 是它的定语。
