1 prized作为形容词只能是定语形容词（即只能作前置定语），这是词典明确指出的。 换句话说，作后置定语的prized如果按照形容词分析，是不被多数语言学家认可的。

2 因此，prized for someting为过去分词短语作后置定语。很显然，过去分词是没有比较级或最高级的，所以，most prized for sth.不肯能是prized 的最高级。

3  prize的过去分词可以被副词much修饰。例如以下BNC例句：

They were much prized for cutting as well as for bedding,...

Two unusual fruits very much prized in Madeira are the pittanga (Eugenia braziliensis) and the tree tomato 

The veined and variegated roots yielded beautiful veneers much prized for ornamental work.

they can be safely shown to employers and are much prized. 

修饰过去分词prized的副词much可以用最高级：例如COCA例句：

And what was most prized in the 19th century was despised in the 20th by artists, critics, and collectors alike. 

She was the prettiest girl- professionally pretty, even- and so why shouldn't the boys also determine that she was most prized? 

由此可知，表语位置或后置定语位置的most prized for sth.中的most并不是形容词prized的最高级标记，而是修饰过去分词prized的副词much的最高级。
