同义句转换：Turn off the light when you leave the house.
标准答案为：Turn off the light while leaving the house.
而我写的是：
Turn off the light when you are leaving the house.
Turn off the light while you are leaving the house.
Turn off the light when leaving the house.
问题 1：请问我这三个答案和标准答案相比，错在了哪里？
问题 2：when 和 while 到底有什么区别，常常考到，但是一直弄不懂。感谢老师。

问题 1：我觉得“标准答案”并不标准。我个人认为，真正的“标准答案”应该是你的第三句：

Turn off thelight when leaving the house.

另外几句都不够“标准”（尽管它们在语法上是对的），因为它们都不太符合实际情况，因为“关灯”的动作通常不会与“正在离开”的动作同时进行。

while doing sth的意思是“当做某事的时候”，它是whle sb be doing sth.的省略形式，这种省略原则上要求主句与从句的主语一致。如：

He fell asleep while (he was) doing his homework. 他做着做着功课就睡着了。

While (we were) doing so, we decided to sell our boat. 在这样做时，我们决定把船卖掉。

She watched a few of the games while (she was) waiting to go on court. 她在等待上场时观看了几场比赛。

Most pregnant women remain off cigarettes while (they are) carrying the child. 大多数孕妇都在孕期戒了烟。

注意，如果主句与从句主语不一致，则属垂悬的现在分词，建议初学者不要使用。如：

This will enable the audience to sit in comfort while watching the shows. 这样能够让观众舒舒服服地坐着看表演。

现在分词短语作状语可表时间、原因、条件、结果、让步、伴随和方式等。所以，在意义很清楚的情况下可直接用现在分词作时间状语。但有时为了强调说明主句的谓语动作发生在分词所表示的动作过程之中，人们常在现在分词前面加when或while。
