关于上涨百分之多少的表达

之前上学学过上涨或者下跌需要加介词 by 与to.如 increase by/to 15%.

但是最近在读文章的时候发现很多例句并没有加介词这是为什么呢，例如：

In July, the share price has grown 20% year on year.

表示增加或上涨的幅度，通常用介词 by（但这个 by 有时可以省略），如：

Output of steel has increased (by) 80 per cent. 钢的产量增加了 80%。

如果用介词 to 则表示增加或上涨到某一个值（但这个 to 不能省略）。如：

Our speed gradually increased to 70 miles per hour. 我们的速度逐渐增加至每小时 70 英里。

你的最后一个句子没有用介词 by 是因为省略了：

In July, the share price has grown (by) 20% year on year.
