as is the case 是个常用的比较状语从句，放在主句之前、之后均可，也常作 as is often the case。as 作为比较连词，同时又作从句的主语。它引导的从句与主句形成比较（意为“像常有的情况那样”）。传统语法认为as 是关系代词，引导非限制性定语从句，as 指代整个主句。

举例说明：

He shouts when he gets angry, as is often the case.

他生气时就大喊大叫，这是常有的情形。
