key to do sth与key to doing sth的对与错

答案是 A，我知道 key 之后可以用介词，如 the key to the back door（后门钥匙）。但是如果 key 后面用不定式就是错的吗？谢谢老师解答。

1. key 表“钥匙”时，常接介词 to 或 of 短语作定语。如：

I lost the key to / of the gate. 我把大门钥匙弄丢了。

2. key 表“键，琴键”时，常接介词 of 短语作定语。如：

Something is wrong with the key of the piano. 这个钢琴键有问题。

3. key 表“（问题、事件等的）解答；解决的关键（线索）；（成功等的）秘诀”等时，常接介词 to 短语作定语。

I don't know the key to the puzzle. 我不知道这个谜语的答案。

Transport has always been the key to developing trade. 运输一直是发展贸易的关键。
