蓝色部分有语病，有多处语法错误。

1. as we have already submitted much earlier in the day was the fact that there was no direct evidence that she applied anything on him.

根据前后句意，as 应该引导“比较从句”（传统语法叫做“非限制性定语从句），而非“原因从句或时间从句”。这里as 指代前文that 从句的内容：正如我们主张的那样。as 同时作了submitted 的宾语。

submit 是及物动词，（法律用语）“主张；建议”。

2. much 修饰比较级 earlier，跟submitted 无关。much earlier in the day 意为“今天早些时候”。

3. apply sth. to sb. 表示“把某事施加于某人”，不跟on 搭配。

4. 大的错误在于：was the fact。因为as we have already submitted much earlier in the day 已经很完整，后面能再加成分。

改正办法：在day 后面加句号结束前句，另开一句：The fact was that...
