通常名词force后接for sth作定语，或to do sth作定语，表示force的用途。通常不用for doing sth. 由于force是名词，所以不说不定式或介词短语是目的状语，而说不定式或介词短语作定语修饰force，表示用途。例如下面COCA例句：
