【翻译技巧】翻译句子时，在保持“信”（忠实原文）的基础上，要译出原文的“神”来，同时，还要符合汉语的表达习惯。具体说来：

1. not just：“不仅”。意思等于not only，不管下句是并列分句，还是单句，都要添加“而且”，体现出汉语的“递进关系”。所以，在It is a moment 之前加上“而且”。

2. one of the greatest playwrights of all time —— 一个含有最高级的名词词组，这是英语特别喜欢使用的一个表达。但是，中国学生往往受其影响，原文照搬，翻译为：历史上最伟大的剧作家之一。由于前面还有一个an opportunity，所以，翻译出来非常蹩脚：

是纪念历史上最伟大的剧作家之一的一个机会

应把“最......之一”， 改为“一位最......”。此外，把“机会”改为“良机”，等于occasion 之意。因为“机会” 是个中性词。

3. to celebrate the extraordinary ongoing influence of a man：由于前文说的是“怀念人”，为避免重复，这个不定式应指“庆祝事”（庆祝某人的成就影响）。
