while的用法

while的用法，尤其是while在作并列连词时可以连接什么成分？今天看到一个句子：it is totally effective while at the same time beautiful.为什么可以连接两个形容词呢？

while作为从属连词，引导对比状语从句。从句中省略了和主句相同的主语和be.

It is totally effective while at the same time beautiful.

= It is totally effective while it is at the same time beautiful.

= It is totally effective while it is beautiful at the same time.

从句也可以位于句首：

While it is beautiful，it is totally effective at the same time.

从句理解为时间状语也是可以的。
