各位老师好，我想问一下下面这个句子里，let是什么用法，let+sb+介词，是省略了什么么？

If people are reluctant to let younger people into government then it could affect the ability of future leaders.

再就是，then这样用可以么？then是副词，放在一个句子里，不是前后需要加逗号么？

let 接复合宾语时，宾补可以由不带to 的不定式充当。例如：

let him do it

如果不定式表示“进入；出来” 等“移位”概念，可以省掉动词，只保留介词短语。这时，介词短语仍然作宾补。例如网友的句子：

let younger people (enter) into government

【注】enter 跟into 连用表示抽象意义，government 也表示抽象意义，无冠词指“行政管理”。
