The success is greater than expected.
上面的句子给than后面加上was/is还正确吗？

以下二个句子中than从句都省略了动词be, 所以都是可以还原的
They arrived earlier than expected.
= They arrived earlier than had been expected.
The success is greater than expected.
The success is greater than was expected.
