再谈嵌入式定语从句及so that 疑问

① 如果把so that当成一个功能如while，though的从句“复合引导词”，哪I think is…就不成句，说不通。

(例子:They try to rehabilitate them so that they can live out their remaining years happily.)

② 如果that是嵌入式定语从句的关系代词，哪so的意义和作用是是什么？

③ 而且冥冥之中感觉that是代指it的，定语从句不是只能修饰前面就近的词吗？

比如下面这句，that就修饰前面的TV show

I am watching a TV show that is about how to cook.

这个句子是个口语化对句子，不是非常严谨。all kinds of things前缺少了连接词and或者as well as。so在此为并列连词，that为指示代词，指代前面对人称代词it，that要重读。I think为插入语。第二分句对主干为 that is No. 1.

所以本句中不存在嵌入式定语从句。也没有引导结果状语从句的连词so that (so that作为连词时，that为弱读）。
