1 形容词修饰不定代词时都是后置修饰，无论这个形容词是原级、比较级还是最高级。例如：something important, something more important, something the most important.

2 一个名词可以同时被二个后置定语修饰。例如：the boy on the left with a book on his hand. 介词短语on the left和with复合结构分别修饰名词the boy.

一个名词也可以被二个定语从句修饰，称为双重定语从句。这又分二种情况。第一种是二个定语从句为并列关系，例如 a boy who is not very clever but who studies very hard. 第二种情况是二个定语从句为不同层次，即先行词被第一个定语从句修饰后，再被第二个定语从句修饰。例如：Have you seen the tie he wears today that his sister gave him as a birthday present?  he wears today为定语从句修饰名词the tie, that his sister gave him as a birthday present这个定语从句修饰the tie he wears today.
