关于感官动词 see, watch 用在被动语态时后跟 doing 还是 to do 的问题

英语可以说:see sb doing sth / see sb do sth

1. Though women were watched to have the same chewing pace as men, they chewed each mouthful more times, slowing down the total time it took them to eat their meal.

这里为什么用 to do,不是 doing?

2. In the video, the man can be seen holding his mobile phone in his hand after falling asleep on a Metro, with a message in large font on the screen which reads, “Please wake me if you need my seat.”

这里为什么用 doing,不用 to do 呢?

你首先要明白 see sb doing sth 与 see sb do sth 的区别:

I saw her crying.

2. see sb do sth:看见某人做了某事(do 指动作的全过程)

I saw her enter a bank.

1. 如果说:I saw her cry.

I saw her entering a bank. I saw her enter a bank.

I saw her entering a bank.

I saw her enter a bank.

She was seen to enter a bank.

She was seen entering a bank.

I heard him open the door. I watched him open the door.

I heard him having/have a new car. I watched him having/have a new car.

I hear(that)he has a new car.

同理,I noticed him go out through the back door. 但 I have noticed that he has a new car.

He was noticed to go out through the back door.

He was noticed to have a new car.

网友第一句中的 women were watched to have the same chewing pace as men,to have为静态动词作主语补足语。

We/They/Researchers watched women have the same chewing pace as men.

We/They/Researchers watched women eating and found that they had the same chewing pace as men.

    1. Though women were watched to have the same chewing pace as men, they chewed each mouthful more times, slowing down the total time it took them to eat their meal.
