还有，如果是 one anther’s 呢？后接名词用单数还是复数，比如：

是 one anther’s name 还是 one anther’s names？

你的问题可以分三种情况：

▲若后接不可数名词，该名词自然要用单数。如：

Those two are always copying each other’s (one another’s) homework. 那两个人总是互相抄袭作业。

Come over for a chat so we can catch up on each other’s news. 来聊聊天，彼此好通通最近的消息。

▲若后接名词本身只有复数形式，则该名词也自然用复数。如：

The countries were locked in a trade war, refusing to allow importsof each other’s goods. 这些国家陷入了贸易战，拒绝相互进口货物。

▲若后接名词为可数名词，通常要用复数。如：

They fell into each other’s arms. 他们拥抱在一起。

They live in each other’s pockets. 他们两人十分密切。

但有时也可用单数。如：

He said that the two countries had agreed to appoint more diplomatsto each other’s capital(s). 他说两国已商定各自多派外交人员到对方的首都。（《新时代英语惯用法词典》外文出版社 each 词条）
