网友说“这道题中能用as，when”，不知依据是什么？

我认为，此题只能填when，其余两个不可以。

enter 是非延续性动词，无法跟表示延续的as 和while 连用。诊断结果如下：

When the host enters, the house band plays a theme music that is often

As the host enters, the house band plays a theme music that is often

played during the show. （误）

While the host enters, the house band plays a theme music that is often

played during the show. （误）

这个句子的实质是：乐队演奏音乐是一个持续的动作，“进入房子”是个瞬间完成的动作。就是说，“进入房子之时”（瞬间完成），乐队在演奏曲子（持续进行中）。说到底：“进入房子”这个动作，无法持续，所以排除as 和while。

while 作“当 ...... 时候”解，只可接表示一段时间而不可接表示某点时间。例如： It was raining while we were out. 下雨时我们不在家。不可说：While I had finished my letter , I posted it. 应该说： After I had finished my letter,I posted it.我写好信后，就寄出了。（摘自《薄冰英语惯用法词典》）

不能简单地用 as 表示“在 ...... 时”。例如：我开始在这儿工作时，报酬是...... 误：As I started work here, the pay was ... 正：When I started work here, the pay was ... (摘自《外教社.柯林斯高级英语用法词典》

the host enters 是表示某点时间。所以，下面句中的 While 必须改为 When，但是不能改为 As :
