1 这二句中的as从句都是比较分句。与as...as结构不同的是，主句不含比较项，比较项隐含在as本身，as作为从属关联词既引导比较分句，语义上相当于the same,表示比较意义，同时在分句中作分句成分。

She was a teacher, as he was.= She was a teacher, and he was the same.

可以看出，比较分句中的as对应于并列句中and the same。the same为表语，说明as既引导从句，同时在从句中作表语。

She enjoys all kinds of music, as I do.

= She enjoys all kinds of music, and I enjoy the same.

可以看出，as对应于and the same。比较分句采用动词替代，用do替代enjoy，可知as既引导比较分句，同时在比较分句中作do (enjoy)的宾语。

2 比较分句可以采用倒装语序，即把主语后移至句末。这种倒装不影响as在分句中作成分。注意比较分句的倒装是在谓语采用操作词替代的前提下。

3 She’s very tall, as is her mother.= She's very tall, and her mother is the same.

as取代and the same, is是操作词，主语后移至句末，得到as is her mother. as作表语。

I voted Labour, as did my wife.= I voted Labou, and my wife did the same.
