bright, hot, pale 是形容词，red, blue 也是形容词。如：

The plant has a beautiful bright red flower. 这株植物开了一朵美丽鲜红的花。

She had small hands with nails painted bright red. 她的手很小，指甲涂成了鲜红色。

She fixed her pale blue eyes on her father’s. 她用那蔚蓝色的双眼盯着父亲的眼睛。

不过，当 red, blue 等表示颜色的词后面不接名词时，其前的 bright, hot, pale 具有副词性质，表示程度。如：

He could feel himself going bright red. 他感到自己的脸越来越红。

The handle was red hot. 那个把手烫得发红。

The walls were painted a pale blue. 墙壁被漆成了浅蓝色。
