学英语不能“形而上学”，不要用孤立的、静止的、片面的眼光观察问题和分析问题。

shoot 是不及物动词，表示“朝着......射击”，所以，后面跟“射击的目标”时，要加介词at。英语中，介词at 表示目标的用法太多了。例如：look at, stare at, glare at, glimpse at, glance at, rush at, aim at, laught at, shout at，包括shoot at 等等。

如果shoot at 后面接的词语不是“射击的目标”，而是其他词语，说明at 是跟后面的词语搭配，而与shoot本身无关，例如“距离、方式”等，虽然也是用at，但意思就变了。所以对待问题要从根本上理解，不要生搬硬套。

我再举一些shoot at 不表示“射击的目标” 的其他例子：

1. If you shoot at an angle, you will miss the target. 如果你倾斜射击，你就会击不中目标。

（at an angle：倾斜地；成一个角度）

2. The soldier began to shoot at the sight of the signal  一看到信号，士兵就开始射击。

（at the sight of the signal： 看到信号时）

3. The soldiers were allowed to shoot at will. 士兵得到允许可以随意开枪。

（at will：随意地；尽情地）

4.  That man was shooting at the corner. 那个人在拐角处开枪。

（at the corner：在拐角处）

shoot at first    最初, 首先

shoot at last    终于, 最后

shoot at one time    曾经, 同时, 一度

shoot at ease    不拘束, 自在, 安适
