more,much,others 的词性问题

I have more than some people, but not as much as others.

译文：我比有些人拥有的多，但比其他人拥有的少。

1) More 是代词？还是名词？

2) Much 是形容词? 它后面省略了things？

3) Others 是代词，表示other people’s things,“其他人的东西”

4) 完整句型结构： I have more than some people, but (I have) not as much (things) as others.

5) Things 省略的原因是因为others 里面含有things 这层含义，所以无需再重复？是东西 (things)和东西(things)在作比较。

much，many及其比较级形式more，既可以是限定词，也可以是不定代词，都表示不确切的。much, many, more后接名词时，为限定词。三者位于主语或宾语位置时，为代词。much和many的区别在于前者限定或替代不可数名词，后者限定或替代复数名词。

some和other同样既可以是限定词，也可以是不定代词。other作为不定代词还可以有复数形式others。本句中的others呼应some people, 在意义上等于other people。

网友误解了others替代的内容，忽略了much只能替代不可数名词，从而导致了对句子的误解。
