1、在口语中，一些表示句子结构的词往往省略，而书面语恰恰相反。通过读文中的句子，我们通过语感可知，黑字部分为定语从句any more than there is anything to be feared from the darkness.修饰nothing.

2、加黑部分本意并没有否定之意，直译为（结合省略的noting）没有比因黑暗而产生的令人害怕的东西更多（在读英语时不要太受中文翻译影响，翻译很多都是根据中文习惯转译的。）
