老师,第一句的rain是比喻修辞手法吗?形容像下雨那样接连不断的打击报复?

第二句中digest 只有消化,吸收的意思,这里作“承受”,虽然不是比喻,但让意思更为形象生动?

A: rain revenge on sb/sth 对...采取大规模的报复行为/雨点般的报复行为落到某人头上。

(1)rain vt.(使)如雨点般落下;(使)大量降下

(英文解释 If someone rains blows, kicks, or bombs on a person or place, the person or place is attacked by many blows, kicks, or bombs. You can also say that blows, kicks, or bombs rain on a person or place.)

The police, raining blows on rioters and spectators alike, cleared the park.

警察不分闹事者与观众统统一顿猛击,把人们清除出了足球场。

Rockets, mortars and artillery rounds rained on buildings.  

火箭炮、迫击炮和各种炮弹如雨点般落在大楼上。

B:there was another shock to digest 需要接受另外一见令人震惊事件

(2)digest  vt.慢慢接受(令人不快的消息) 

(英文解释:If you digest some unpleasant news, you think about it until you are able to accept it and know how to deal with it.)

All this has upset me. I need time to digest it all.  

所以这些都让我心烦。我需要时间来慢慢接受这一切。
