necessary后接介词to与for的用法区别

Water is necessary for life.
学生有了疑问：因为曾看到过这样的论述——主语为具体的物，介词用to。如：
The book is important to me.
主语为抽象的事，介词用for。如：
Studyig English is important for me.

“主语为具体的物，介词用 to；主语为抽象的事，介词用 for”这句话过于绝对了吧。介词的选用有时根据其与形容词、动词或名词的搭配（即形容词、名词或动词要求某个介词），有时是根据上下文以及介词的意义。因此，平时要积累对常用介词的词义的了解，还要注意常与动词、名词、形容词形成固定搭配关系的介词。不能一概而论。
Necessary 做表语搭配的介词是 for 而不是 to。A is necessary for B.(A为B所必需。）
就 important 做表语而言，后面接for时的搭配：A is important for B. (A对于B很重要。）
但 improtant后接 to sb, 表示在某人看来某事很重要。
The money is important for me. 这笔钱对我很重要（我急需这笔钱）。
Money is important to you, but not to me. 你认为钱很重要，我却不这么认为。
