1. 关于difficulties之后接的介词，有时候in和with都是对的，只是意思不同。

所以，你的句子可以改为with。只是谓语动词met 后有了一个with，显得重复，去掉这个with就好了，免得一句有两个with。

2. 此外，difficulty用单数或复数均可，但意思有区别。

在没有任何冠词，而且是单数的情况下(一般跟have 搭配：have difficulty)，difficulty是不可数名词，表示抽象意义，相当于trouble。

如果difficulty改为复数形式difficulties，则表示具体的困难、难事、矛盾，而且不止一个。例如：

I always have difficulty in pronouncing new words. 对新单词的发音我总是有困难。

（含义是：发音不容易）

I met with a lot of difficulties in the work. 我在工作中遇到了不少困难。

（含义是：遇到具体的难事）

3.have difficulty 是英语的习惯表达，一般用单数。在其他情况下，多数使用复数difficulties。
