(一）分词形容词known比较级别为下面几种形式

(1) better known

(2)more well-known

He is better known for his film and TV work. 

他的影视作品更为出名。

A more well known branch of fluid power is hydraulics.

流体动力的一个更广为人知的分支是水力学。

The more well known Gestapo was a division of the RSHA.

广为人知的盖世太保就是RSHA的分支机构。

known最高级为下面几种形式

(1)best known

(2)most well-known

He became one of the best known actors of his day.

他成了他那个时期最著名的演员之一。

Broiled chicken is the restaurant's most well known dish.

烧烤鸡是这里最知名的菜。

Bob Marley is the most well known singer of reggae music .

巴布马利是最知名的雷鬼歌手。

（二）分词形容词advanced 最高级和比较为下面所示

比较级：more advanced

最高级：most advanced

Without more training or advanced technical skills, they'll lose their jobs. 

没有进一步的培训或高级技能的话，他们就会丢掉工作。

This is the most advanced optical telescope in the world. 

这是世界上最先进的光学望远镜

The lab has recently been updated to allow for more advanced courses. 

实验室最近经过更新，可以上更高阶的课程了。

His ideas should be more advanced by the time the Committee meets in Edinburgh in October. 

到委员会10月份在爱丁堡开会时，他的观点应该更为成熟了

(三)leading这个单词已经含有最高级，最重要的，首屈一指的意思，类似于(favourite最喜欢的）

She is one of the leading writers of her day.   
她是那个时代最重要的作家之一。

He plays a leading role in the matter.   
他在这件事中起重要作用。

He's America's leading expert on the Japanese economy.   
他是美国研究日本经济问题的首屈一指的权威。

(leading=the most important)

无比较级和最高级形容词归纳如下

 (1)表国籍的形容词无比较等级。

 Chinese（中国的）American（美国的）English（英国的）Japanese（日本的）

Australian （澳大利亚的）Indian（印度的） Canadian（加拿大的）Hungarian（匈牙利的）Egyptian（埃及的）

(2)表方位的形容词无比较等级。

 east（东方的）west（西方的）left（左边的）middle（中间的）southeast（东南部的）

(3)表绝对概念或已达极限的形容词无比较等级。

 blind（瞎的）dead（死的）alone（单独的） hole（整个的）excellent（极好的）

(4)说明物质材料的形容词无比较级。

  solid（固体的）  plastic（塑料的） wooden （木制的） liquid  (液体的)

(5)表顺序、数字或时间概念的形容词无比较等级。

    next （下一个）  several （若干的） daily（每日的）

(6)做表语的表示状态的形容词无比较级。

alive（活着的）  awake （醒的）    asleep（睡着的）

此类形容词还有一个特点，就是一般不能用程度副词（very, so）修饰。如不能说：very dead, so awake。

(7)已经表示含有最高程度形容词favourite, leading,top, main

但是老师我们怎么知道一个分词的形容词能不能有比较级 最高级呢？
