我跟王老师的看法略有不同。

我觉得，as you go 在本句中应为“方式状语”，不是“时间状语”。

其次，go 的含义在这里不是具体意义的“走”，而是比喻意义。

分词短语的意思是：“依照人们的愿望把坡路绕着金字塔建”。此外，you 不一定指“你本人”，而是指people。

as you go 根据语境可以表示：“按照你的计划；随着某项活动的进展”等。

Of course, you can add new events as you go. 当然你可以按照你的设计来添加新项目。

Make your changes to the design document and test plans as you go. 在工作进行当中，对你的设计文档和测试计划进行修改。

Revise it as you go. 随着进展来修改它。

Do not start immediately throwing patterns into a design, but use them as you go and understand more of the problem. 不要一开始就将模式运用到设计中去，当你明白更多问题的时候再使用它。

build sth(A) around sth(B)=围绕B来建造A=在B的周围建造A

around prep.围绕; 绕过；越过;在附近; 前后，左右; 在…周围;

意思：使把坡路/斜面/斜坡/坡面/围绕着金字塔来建造。

此为建造金字塔方法的猜测之一：斜坡理论。该理论认为金字塔底部可以在外面建造斜坡，剩余部分可以在金字塔内部建造环绕、螺旋型的斜坡。把建筑材料通过斜坡运到高处，边建造金字塔，边建造斜坡，并行不悖，这样往复多次，一直盖到顶端。这是一个渐进的过程。因此我赞同王老师 as you go = as you progress。

一点想法，不一定对，请三位老师批评指正。
