第一句的that引导目的状语从句；第二句的that引导结果状语从句。

1.so that在引导目的状语从句时既可以省略so也可以省略that（多用于口语），且从句中常带有情态动词。如：

Bring it closer that I might see it better. 拿近些，以便我能看得清楚些。

I’ll give him a map so he won’t get lost. 我会给他一张地图免得他迷路。

2.so...that在引导结果状语从句时，也可以省略so或that。如：

He had got criticized that he was depressed? 他挨了批，所以他很郁闷。

It was so cold I could hardly keep still. 天气太冷，我无法保持不动。
