请教这句话中的不定式是否做定语

这句话中to change 引导的句子是作为主语，但是是否也可以理解成是做定语来修饰idea呢？两种都说得通的吧？

你的理解不错，完全有这种可能性。如果不定式作了idea的定语，那么It 就是代词了，就可以用This, That 取代It。不过，根据你提供的语境，不定式仍然看作是真正主语。

如果把不定式看作真正主语，it是形式主语，句子就讲不通了。

It is +名词+to do sth 中TO DO STH 所做成分判断方法如下：

(1)It is +名词+to do sth=This/That is +n.+to do sth(to do 作后置定语用法）

It is the only way to solve the problem.

=This is the only way to solve the problem.

(2)It is +名词+.to do sth=To do sth is +名词（不定式作主语用法）

It is the duty of the police to protect us.

=To protect us is the duty of the police.
