表示“随着”，若是指随着……的变化而变化，通常有以下两种表达方式：

▲一是用介词 with 来表示，此时其后不能接句子，而是接名词。如：

She had grown more attractive with age. 随着年龄的增长，她变得更加妩媚动人。

Their confidence grew with each success. 他们的信心随着每一次成功而不断增强。

With the establishment of major new markets, the economy is thriving. 随着重大新市场的建立，经济越来越兴旺。

With the arrival of John’s friends, the party became really enjoyable. 随着约翰朋友的到来，聚会变得真正好玩起来。

▲二是用 as 来表示，此时的 as 是连词，引导状语从句（即后接一个句子）。如：

As time passed, things seemed to get worse. 随着时间的推移，情况似乎变得更糟了。

As the weeks went by he grew in confidence. 随着几个星期过去，他的自信加强了。

As demand slows, the need to export will return. 随着市场需求放缓，出口的需要将再度出现。

Peasant land hunger grew ever more acute as the population swelled. 随着人口膨胀，农民对土地的渴求越来越强烈。

Business is booming for estate agents in the south as the property market hots up. 随着房地产市场走热，南方的房地产经纪人的业务也繁荣起来。

▲当然除以上常用表达外，也还有其他一些表达，但通常是意译过来的。如：

In the course of time, I began to understand. 随着时间过去，我开始明白了。

The rocks have eroded away over time. 随着时间的流逝，岩石慢慢风化。

Hope faded after wrecked remains of the ship were washed onto the shore. 随着遇难船的残片冲上岸边，人们的希望也越来越渺茫。

▲若不是指随着……的变化而变化，则需根据具体情况来处理。如：

We danced to the music. 我们随着音乐起舞。

Her gaze followed Simon’s through the archway. 她的目光随着西蒙的视线穿过拱门。

We were all clapping our hands in time to the music. 我们全都随着音乐的节奏拍着手。
