英语中的连词包括从属连词和并列连词两种。
表示并列关系的并列连词有：and, both …and, neither … nor …, as well as
表示转折关系的并列连词有：but, yet, however, nevertheless, while
表示因果关系的并列连词有：for, so, therefore
表示选择关系的并列连词有：or, either …or …, or else, otherwise
引导主语从句和同位语从句的从属连词有：that, whether 等。
引导宾语从句的从属连词有：that, whether, if 等。
引导表语从句的从属连词有： that, whether, as if, as though, because 等。
引导时间状语从句的从属连词有：when, while, as, whenever, before, after, since, until, till, as soon as, the minute, the moment 等。
引导地点状语从句的从属连词有：where, wherever, everywhere 等。
引导原因状语从句的从属连词有：because, as, since, seeing that, now that  等。
引导让步状语从句的从属连词有：although, though, even though , even if, while, however, whatever, whoever, whenever, wherever 等。
引导目的状语从句的从属连词有：in order that, so that, in case, for fear that 等。
引导条件状语从句的从属连词有：if, unless, as long as, so long as, in case, once 等。
引导结果状语从句的从属连词有：so that, so ... that, such ... that 等。
引导比较状语从句的从属连词有：than, as ... as, so ... as 等。
引导方式状语从句的从属连词有：as, like, as if, as though 等。
