比较级nearer, closer可用作介词吗
如下面的句子，nearer是比较级，但它后面接了宾语（注意没有带介词to），说明这里的nearer本身用作介词：
We want to find a house nearer the station. 我们想找一所离车站更近一些的房子。
请问一下，closer也可以这样用吗？上面一句中的nearer也可改成closer吗？
We want to find a house closer the station. 我们想找一所离车站更近一些的房子。
当然，如果加上to肯定是没问题的。如：
We want to find a house closer to / nearer to the station. 我们想找一所离车站更近一些的房子。

表示空间上接近的中的科研省略，而中的是不可省略的。例如：
She was sitting near (to) / nearer (to) / nearest (to) me. （She was sitting close to / closer to / closest to me .）她坐得离我很近 / 更近 / 最近。（《英语常见问题解答大词典》增订版p.893）
又如：She runs a dress shop near (to) the station. 她在车站附近经营一家服装店。（《薄冰英语惯用法词典》p.596）
所以，We want to find a house closer the station.是错误的。应该改为：We want to find a house closer to the station.
