don’t still与still don’t

老师说，still只能放在否定词的前面，而不能放在否定词的后面，如我们只能说still don’t，而不能说don’t still。是这样吗？比如“他还没有准备好”，我觉得就应该说成 He isn’t still ready. 我说得对不对？

其实，still 放在否定词之前或之后都可以，只是意思不同：

▲still 放在否定词之前，表示“还不”“仍然不”：

We still do not know the precise location of the crash. 我们还不知道撞车事故的确切位置。

I’ve searched every nook and cranny but I still can’t find the keys. 我找遍所有的地方也没找到钥匙。

Having been told many times, he still did not know how to do it. 人家已经告诉他多少次了，他还是不知道怎么做。

▲still 放在否定词之后，表示“没有再”“不再”“别再”：

副词still（仍然；还）修饰动词否定式的用法：

(1) 放在动词否定式缩略式(即not以n't与be或其它助动词结合为一个单词如isn't , doesn't 等)的前面，不能放在动词否定式缩略式的后面。例如：He isn’t still ready. 是错误的。正确的句子应该是He still isn’t ready.

(2) 如果助动词或主要动词是be, 而且not不是以n't的形式与其它词结合时，still可以放在not 的前面或者后面。例如：

I'm still not sure what you mean. 我还是不明白你到底是什么意思。

You're not still seeing that Jackson boy, are you? 你没有再与那个叫杰克逊的男孩子来往，对吗？

still如果用在肯定句中，须放在助动词、情态动词后面，行为动词之前。

用在否定句中，须放在助动词和情态动词之前，当助动词是be时，把still放在助动词前或后均可，有时还可放在直接宾语之后。推荐一篇出自英语语法网的文章。
