whatever可直接修饰名词吗？

whatever 一般都是单独使用的，如：

Whatever she did was right. 她做的一切都是对的。

I will just say whatever comes into my mind. 我想到什么就说什么。

Whatever happens, don’t forget to write. 无论怎样别忘了写信。

So don’t lose heart whatever you do. 不管你做什么你都不要灰心。

Whatever you say, I won’t believe you. 不管你说什么，我都不会相信你。

但是看到这样一句：

We shall take whatever actions are necessary. 我们将采取任何必要的措施。

这里的 whatever 好像是修饰名词 actions 吧？请问 whatever 可以像这样直接修饰名词吗？谢谢！

根据《麦克米伦高阶英汉双解词典》和《新英汉用法词典》：

whatever可以用作限定词（后接名词，引导关系从句），也就是说whatever可以作形容词修饰名词。例如：

We’ll be ready at whatever time you get here.

无论你什么售后到这里，我们都会准备就绪。

Whatever dictionary you have, lend it to me.

不管你有什么字典，借给我。

You can take whatever farm tools you need.

你需要什么农具，都可以拿。
