persuade可后接that从句吗

persuade可后接that从句吗？比如可以说She persuaded that he was telling the truth 吗？

根据传统语法，persuade 无论表示“说服”“劝服”还是表示“使相信”，persuade 通常都不直接 that 引导的宾语从句，而是应在 that 从句前加上 sb。如：

She persuaded him that she was telling the truth. 她让他相信她讲的是真话。

I could not persuade him that I was honest. 我无法使他相信我是诚实的。

比较以下同义句：

He persuaded her to marry him. 他说服了她嫁给他。

=He persuaded her into marrying him. 他说服了她嫁给他。

=He persuaded her that she should marry him. 他说服了她嫁给他。

I could not persuade him of my honesty. 我无法使他相信我是诚实的。

=I could not persuade him that I was honest. 我无法使他相信我是诚实的。

但是，查BNC（英国国家语料库）也可查到极个别persuade 后直接跟 that 从句的例子。如：

Nonetheless, he continued to try and persuade that he was telling the truth.

但是本人尚未在正式出版的英美词典中查到此类用法，所以建议初学者（尤其是学生参加考试时）不要模拟此类用法。
