(1)（钟点）过（…分）

It's ten past eleven. 现在是11点过10分。

(2)…之后；晚于

It was past midnight.  午夜已过。

It was past midnight when we got home. 我们到家时已过半夜。

It's past your bedtime. 你的就寝时间已经过了。

Dancing was kept up till past two.   舞会一直开到两点以后。

The time is ten minutes past eight.   现在是8点10分。

Summer is past its full.   盛夏已过。

(3) 经过

They went past the department store.   他们从百货公司的旁边经过。

I dashed past him and out of the door. 我从他身边跑过，夺门而出。
