build, body, figure 用作名词时都可以表示“身体”，它们有什么区别？

【1】build强调某人的骨骼和肌肉给予的身体上的视觉上某种体形/体格/身材

He's described as around thirty years old, six feet tall and of medium build.  他被描述成一个30岁左右、6英尺高、中等身材的人。

The authority of his voice is undermined by the smallness of his build.  瘦小的身形削弱了他声音中的权威感。

Someone's build is the shape that their bones and muscles give to their body. 

【2】body 强调由头部和四肢以及躯体组成的一个完整的人的身体，与mind相对

The largest organ in the body is the liver. 人体最大的器官是肝脏。

When a body is immersed in a fluid, it apparently loses weight.   身体浸入水中就会明显减轻重量。

His body was racked with pain.   他全身疼痛难熬。

The body quickly adjusts to change in temperature.   人体能很快地自行调节以适应气温变化

【3】figure：强调人的身体呈现出来的外部的体形/形状/身材 还指物体的轮廓和外形

Janet was a natural blonde with a good figure. 珍妮特天生一头金发，身材曼妙

You'll lose your girlish figure if you don't watch out. 如果不多加注意，你就会失去女孩般的苗条身段。

I could see the figure of a woman against the window.    我看到一个临窗而立的女人身影。
