现在分词表示主谓关系，过去分词表示动宾关系。

因为变为主句后，两个句子分别是：

所以前者要求现在分词 staring，后者要求过去分词 fixed。

第二个 fix 当表“凝视”时，如果人做主语，用 fix one's eyes on doing sth,如果眼睛做主语用 be fixed on doing sth。
