这里的inside不是用作副词指内部空间，而是用作名词指“内侧，内面”。由于没有上下文，所以这里的shell可以指(蛋类或坚果的)壳、(豌豆等的)荚、(龙虾、蜗牛等的)介[甲]壳、贝壳、......”。无论什么壳，它都有两个面，即“外面”和“内面”。再给一个类似的例子：
