直接引语引述句的主语是代名词时能否倒装

“12 gold pieces, only 12 gold pieces,” calls out the man.

这是直接引句的倒装，动词放在主词前面。没有问题。

Off they went. (他们走了). 主词为代名词，不能倒装为: Off went they. (误)

问题: “20 gold pieces for a turkey! Are you crazy?” they all say.

这个直接引句可否倒装为: “20 gold pieces for a turkey! Are you crazy?” say they all.

主语为人称代词时，也可以使用倒装。例如：

“Last week,” said he, “my umbrella was stolen from a London church. As it was a present, I spent twice its worth in advertising, but did not get it back.”

“How could you begin? “ said she.

能这样倒装的人称代词，一般限于he, she。其他代词较为少见。
