5 multi-word verb 困惑

这张图截自《英语语法大全》夸克，图中最下面一句话说“斜体标注的单词共同构成习语或词汇单位。” 我没看错的话表格中也有一些不是习语(idiom)的词也给标注了斜体，比如 come in，send away等（我用红线标注了）。我觉得这些不应该用斜体，是因为排版错误吗？还是说这些虽不是习语（idiom），但是属于lexical unit 。可以稍微说一下lexical unit 是啥吗？还请专家老师帮忙解答下！

词汇单位（lexical unit），也称词项（lexical item），可能不同语法框架下有不同解释。不过感觉wikipedia上的解释差不多够用了。

... a lexical item is a single word, a part of a word, or a chain of words that forms the basic elements of a language's lexicon (≈ vocabulary). Lexical items can be generally understood to convey a single meaning, much as a lexeme, but are not limited to single words.

我做简单化的理解，习得语言的时候把一些词当作一个单位来记忆的，这些词就是多词的词汇单位。怎么理解当做一个单位？比如send ... out into ...，母语者可能脑海里直接想到send ... out into ...，然后加上具体要说明的send的宾语和into的宾语就可以。母语者可能不会想，先send，send哪儿去？哦，out。然后……此外，out、into算是闭合词类，也更容易和动词组成词汇单位吧。
